What is Snapplify?

Snapplify is a platform for reading digital content. With Snapplify you have access to the largest catalogue of local and international ebooks and e-textbooks in Africa. Signing up with Snapplify is easy. We’ll have you reading in no time!

Can I also buy print books from you?

While we love books in all shapes, sizes and formats, our true passion lies with digital books. Snapplify is your go-to for the best ebooks around.

How do I read the ebooks that I buy from Snapplify?

When you buy an ebook from Snapplify, you’ll need to download the Snapplify Reader app for your device. Visit your preferred app store and search for the ‘Snapplify Reader’, or go directly to so that we can detect which Reader app you need and tell you how to download it. The free Snapplify Reader app works across iOS, Android, Chrome OS, Windows and macOS; on tablets and mobile devices, as well as on desktop PCs and Apple Macs.

The quality of your device can impact your reading experience. We recommend that you choose your device according to the following guidelines:

How do I sign up for a Snapplify account?

To buy ebooks from Snapplify, you need to be logged in to our store. Begin by clicking on the SIGN IN link, then either register your email address with Snapplify to open an account, or sign in using your existing Google account.

How do I reset my Snapplify account password?

Ah, you’ve forgotten your password? It happens to all of us. With Snapplify’s ‘Forgot Password?’ feature, you can reset your password quickly and easily. If you wish to change your current password, you can follow the same steps below.

Please note that Snapplify cannot change a Google account password. The following instructions are only for Snapplify accounts.

  1. Open

  2. Click on SIGN IN, which you’ll find in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

  3. Select FORGOT PASSWORD? under the sign-in form.

  4. Enter your email address and click SEND.

  5. Check your email inbox for an email containing a link to reset your password. If you do not receive an email after a few minutes, be sure to check your email’s spam or junk mail folder. 

  6. Click the link in the email to open up a new page, where you will be able to enter a new password.

  7. Once you’ve confirmed your new password, click RESET. You will be directed to a page to confirm the reset.

  8. Click PROCEED to log in to the store.

Why is my email address required when registering on the Snapplify store?

Snapplify needs your email address to link your store account (where purchases are made) with your Reader account (where books are read). Purchased ebooks will reflect automatically in your Reader app. This also allows us to maintain your purchase and payment information in a secure environment, and curate content specific to you when you’re logged in. When purchasing ebooks, you will receive an order confirmation via email to let you know that your transaction has been successful. You will also be added to a mailing list to receive updates and important information from us. You can opt out of these emails at any time.

I’ve registered, but why can’t I see any books in the Reader app?

After successfully registering, you will need to make a purchase (or redeem a voucher) to access the content of your choice. Of course, free content can be downloaded without purchasing by adding these items to your cart and clicking through the payment procedure as if making a purchase. To buy ebooks or e-textbooks, you need to be logged in to the Snapplify store at Once you have purchased ebooks or e-textbooks, these will automatically appear in your Reader app.

Buying Ebooks

How do I buy a book?

Browse the curated Collections on the Snapplify web store (, or search for the ebooks you want using the search bar. You can search by keyword, or using the book’s title, author, or ISBN.

Add books to your shopping cart by clicking the big, green ADD TO CART button on the page featuring the title of your choice. Clicking the MY CART icon at the top right of your screen will show you the titles currently in your shopping cart. When you are ready to pay, click the CHECK OUT button at the bottom of your shopping cart screen. Select which payment method you will be using (credit card, EFT, or Instant EFT) and follow the prompts to complete the transaction.

How do I redeem a voucher?

Snapplify vouchers may offer percentage (e.g. 20% off) or value (e.g. R50 off) discounts. If you’ve received a Snapplify voucher, this is how you use it:

  1. Sign in to the Snapplify store ( with your Snapplify login or Google account details.

  2. Browse the Snapplify store for the book(s) of your choice.

  3. After adding your desired ebooks to your cart, click MY CART.

  4. At the bottom of your shopping cart, enter your voucher code, then click CLAIM VOUCHER before checking out to receive your discount.

How do I download a purchased ebook?

After you’ve successfully purchased an ebook or redeemed a voucher, the content can immediately be accessed in the free Snapplify Reader app for iOS, Android, Chrome OS, Windows or macOS.  After signing into the Reader app, you’ll find all your purchased content in the app’s Library. Tap on titles in the Library to download them to your device. Once the download is complete, you’ll be able to read your ebooks.

Visit from your desktop computer or mobile device to download the Snapplify Reader. If you’re on a mobile device, you can also download the app by searching for the ‘Snapplify Reader’ in your app store.

I accidentally deleted my Reader app. How do I get my ebooks back?

Don't worry – you will never lose the content you have purchased! Once you’ve re-downloaded the Reader app onto your device and signed in, your ebooks will still be there.

How do I read a purchased book on a different device?

When you sign into your Reader app on a different device, your content will automatically be viewable.

Please note that there is a limit to how many devices you can load your purchased content onto. This limit is set by the publisher of the book. Most often, you can load your purchased content onto five devices, but some publishers have other restrictions.

Common Problems

Common problems and solutions

Most common problems have very simple solutions. Often, a problem using the Reader app is related to the internet connection, or to having too many apps running on a device simultaneously. One of these simple fixes may resolve the issue that you’re experiencing:

  1. Check your internet connection: Have you tried switching the WiFi off and on again? Disconnect, then reconnect to the network. 

  2. Check your operating system: You might need to do an update. See our supported operating systems under ‘What kind of device do I need to read Snapplify ebooks’ in the ‘Getting Started’ section of these FAQs.

  3. Force-close the app manually using your device’s task manager, then try logging in again.

  4. Clear the cache. This will refresh the app and automatically log you out of your profile. You will then need to log in again using your username and password.

  1. Client name.

  2. Device (e.g. iPhone, Samsung Galaxy Tab).

  3. Operating system (e.g. iOS10, Oreo).

  4. Internet connection (e.g. 3G, WiFi).

  5. Description of the support issue (e.g. a screenshot of the reported problem or a description of the error message in the application).

  6. If the query relates to a purchase made, please also include a proof of purchase and a purchase reference.



If you need to cancel a purchase, report a defect or arrange for a refund, please get in touch with us by emailing Our Support team will check that your request complies with our Refund Policy and issue you with a support ticket reference number. Should you be entitled to a refund, we will refund you in the same manner in which your payment was made (i.e. by processing the refund against your credit card or via EFT, as the case may be). If we are refunding you via EFT, please include your banking details in your email.
